Rex Mackrill

Rex is the Registered Manager and owner of Osborne House. Rex is very committed to training and development both for himself and his team. He holds a Diploma in Person Centred Dementia Care from the University of Surrey and Dementia Care Matters and an NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care awarded by City and Guilds. He is a registered group facilitator for the University of Stirling Dementia Course and has completed the Dementia Voice Manager's course. He has completed the Dementia Care Mapping course with the University of Bradford and holds the Alzheimer's Society dementia qualification 'yesterday, today, tomorrow'. Rex also holds a Psychology qualification with the Open University.

Rex has completed the Alzheimer's Society Course 'The Merevale Way' which looks at leading edge approaches to care for a person with a Dementia, and is in the process of implementing them at Osborne House. Rex has contributed to the Alzheimer's Society's 'Being' series of books, authored by David Sheard of Dementia Care Matters and has been cited in two of them. The Being series addresses what is needed to understand and support a person with a dementia, together with creating a sustainable learning culture in the organization. Most recently Rex was invited to contribute to the Social Care Institute of Excellence expert seminar on co-production.

Previously Rex worked for British Aerospace where he rebuilt a World War II Spitfire, Lonrho where he developed business in the former Soviet Union and as a business change consultant with Deloitte. Rex also holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Leeds, a Masters of Business Administration with the Open University and is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Yolande Clark

Yolande is the Deputy Manager of Osborne House. Yolande has a background in working with people with learning difficulties and brings this enabling person centred approach to Osborne House. She holds a Diploma in Person Centred Dementia Care from the University of Surrey and Dementia Care Matters and an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care awarded by City and Guilds. She is a registered group facilitator for the University of Stirling Dementia Course, holds the Alzheimer's Society dementia qualification 'yesterday, today, tomorrow' and has completed the Alzheimer's Society course in eating and nutrition for people with a dementia. Yolande also holds the Registered Manager's Award.

Rebecca Lewis

Rebecca is the head chef at Osborne House. She has a background in hotel and catering and has a particular interest in healthy eating and nutrition. She holds a Diploma in hotel and catering management. She has completed the Alzheimer's Society course in eating and nutrition for people with a dementia and holds the Alzheimer's Society dementia qualification 'yesterday, today, tomorrow'.

Sally Doyle

Sally is the administrator at Osborne House. She has a background in office management and holds both administration and accountancy qualifications. She holds the Alzheimer's Society dementia qualification 'yesterday, today, tomorrow' and is studying for a Diploma in Person Centred Dementia Care from the University of Surrey and Dementia Care Matters.
